Monty you are a man after my own heart. All this modern day cookery will never compare to the old standby cast iron. When ever I fry chicken,it's in a cast iron skillet. The best breakfast a man can eat: eggs over easy, home fries, and fried catfish fillets all done in a cast iron skillet with about an...

Man that sounds good Tom. Has me thinking I should have thawed out the cubed venison instead of the venison burger.I put a big pot of chili on and baked some cornbread muffins.Guess we will both eat good while waiting for the snow to stop.

Sad news

Got up this morning, poured my mug of coffee and fired up the 'putor to read my e=mail. Damn! That is one dandy fish to be landed without a long line to allow for runs and a reel to regain line.Very impressive. That applies to the fisherman as well.you have to be a real die hard to be standing nut deep in water on what is an obviously frigid day.

Hey,no explanation is necessary. It was obvious to me that Mikeys comments were a very thinly disguised fishing expedition with a dry fly.He got a rise and I believe he hooked you   Hell Adam,we are all getting old :x but give the guys here credit for taking everything with a grain of salt...

Sounds great. No elk available but plenty of venison in the freezer that should work and taste just as good.
