Off to the Airport in a few hours. Been looking forward to this for about a year now.

Next time I post here will be under the influence of jet lagging....

Camp Sherman was fun, and a success ... for me.

Sorry folks, but I didn't take one photograph! Bad on me.

Hope someone else will tell tales about the fair. We had SnooKen, Rex, and some other great campmates at Canyon Creek. And in those spots, there's always room for more.

On Sunday night, our fire was ringed with people for a long time.

The pot-luck was super! And fun.

Lots of people at the tent; Roger said it was the best fair yet {#8}.

Someone brought a bottle of Cuban Rum {smuggled?}. Smooth in the dark of night, like a thundering herd of elephants in the morning {account by others, I just had a sip, or two}.

Lots of collectables, books, and fly tying.

I've got a couple more, I'll post them on the same page this weekend.

kids: That little guy sat and watched Jackson L. tie one of his insects for about an hour without moving.

Good to hear that you had a great fair. I'm glad I picked up a very nice blank to build on :D

It was fun to cast Steve, Chet and Chris C. Rods it was a great chance for a newbie to see the differences in taper.

Here are a few more pictures from the fair and canyon creek cg. It was a great time. Really enjoyed meeting Ken, Joe, Jerry, Carlin, Mats, Rex and a few others I had only met online. Steve's pasta was great on Friday night. Ken shared a few bottles of rum - one of which had a distinct aftertaste resembling a mixture of paint thinner and URAC. Casting all of those rods was really educational - can't wait till next year.

Anders and I just got back home from the airport. Yes, we are jetlagged.

Just wanted to thank all you wonderful people for another unforgettable Oregon trip. Anders wants to go again next year. Especially after fishing around his old man on the Rouge....

Now some sleep.
